Steampunk World’s Fair 2011

Steampunk World’s Fair 2011 (Part 1)

The first batch out of Steampunk World’s Fair.  I need a few new toys for that environment, but I learned a lot more about my camera as well.

Biko

Looking for a gift for your human rights activist?

My most recent school assignment was to create an image representative of a person using only their name and a basic image without using their image.

To that end, I created the attached image and then created a long sleeved T-Shirt in my skreened store. (You can, of course, add this design to anything that they provide.) I tacked $2 on to the design, with the proceeds to be donated to the Steve Biko Foundation.

Haunting Alexandria.

Just over a year ago, (November 18th, actually,) I exhorted folks to get up and Make Something. One year later, it is time to put up or shut up.

That said, I bring you *Haunting Alexandria *. I can best describe it as a photocentric 32pp glossy magazine that ties into web content (in the process of being uploaded) that elaborates for inquiring minds. At US$8 I think it is a bargain for folks who want some nice pictures to look at and share with others. (Tooting my own horn here.)

I want to thank you all (especially Warren Ellis, his Mad HenchEngineer Ariana Osborne and the folks over at Whitechapel ) for lighting a fire in my chimney and inciting me to create.

Alexandria (again)

Tooling around in daylight for a change. (except for one..) ((tag: Alexandria, wandering not at lunchtime))

Alexandria (more)

A little bit before going out to roam the streets. ((Tag: Lunchtime Wanderings, Alexandria, Masonic Temple))

Exploring the Alexandria African American Heritage Park

Across a run, a Cemetery Sits, groomed for the living.

Of course it IS all down hill from here.

This next one is kind of tough on the owners.  Dogs on leash is easy, but remembering to bathe before arriving can be tough!
